From March 9 to 15, 2025, China Sporting Goods Federation (CSGF) led a delegation of business leaders to Indonesia and Vietnam to explore opportunities in the Southeast Asian sports market and strengthen international collaborations.
In Jakarta, the delegation conducted market research, engaged with government agencies, the Olympic Committee, business associations, distributors, and sports clubs to assess investment policies and market demand. In Ho Chi Minh City, they met with key representatives from business federations and industrial parks, with a key visit to the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to discuss investment conditions and market potential. Ms. Bui Thi Ninh, Deputy Director of VCCI Ho Chi Minh Branch, highlighted that Chinese products hold a strong competitive advantage in Vietnam due to their diverse range, cost-effectiveness, and preferential tariff agreements under bilateral government cooperation.
This initiative has deepened China’s sporting goods enterprises’ understanding of the Southeast Asian market, providing valuable insights for international business expansion. According to CSGF Vice President and Secretary-General Mr. Luo Jie, the delegation aimed to facilitate global business strategies and identify potential partnerships and investment opportunities.
Delegation members agreed that, in response to global market shifts, China’s sporting goods industry must proactively expand internationally. This visit marked a significant step toward establishing a stronger presence in the Southeast Asian market and driving the global development of China’s sports brands.
