National Fitness Industry Symposium Convenes in Beijing

On April 17, the National Fitness Industry Symposium was convened in Beijing by the Public Fitness Equipment Committee of the China Sporting Goods Federation (CSGF), attracting extensive participation by authoritative figures across the public fitness sector and industry stakeholders. The event featured highly targeted, substantive contents while establishing a robust platform for in-depth dialogues and knowledge sharing.
 
Chen Xiaowei, Deputy Director of the Standards Division of the Sports Equipment and Facilities Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, provided an in-depth interpretation of GB 19272-2024 General Safety Requirements for Outdoor Fitness Equipment, which will officially take effect on September 1, 2025. Wu Aijun, Deputy General Manager of Shanxi Orient Fitness & Health Industrial Co., Ltd., led the standards promotion and Q&A sessions. Product quality inspection institutes from Tianjin Municipality, Hebei and Shandong provinces presented progress on the CNAS and CMA accreditation expansion for these standards, along with operational procedures. This Symposium bears great significance in advancing the establishment of the national fitness public service system, promoting the high-quality development of the fitness industry, enhancing the quality and safety of public fitness equipment, and stimulating market vitality.
