Nike has unveiled the Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature, its latest development in performance footwear with the future of the planet in mind. The Peg Turbo Next Nature is made with at least 50 per cent recycled material by weight, and the midsole is made with at least 55 per cent ZoomX foam scrap.
The shoe uses 100 per cent recycled Flyknit yarns in the upper to create a more secure, breathable and lightweight fit.  Solution-dyed yarn in the Flyknit uses a dyeing process that saves 70 litres of water for every kilogram of yarn produced, the company said in a press release.

Nike created the Peg Turbo Next Nature with insights learned throughout Nike Running. In 2018, the first Peg Turbo was born out of a key finding from the Nike Zoom Vaporfly four per cent: Leaving out the carbon fibre plate while retaining the Nike ZoomX foam in the midsole was effective for a system based around daily training.

In 2021, the Air Zoom AlphaFly Next Nature proved that a performance shoe — and a pinnacle racing shoe, no less — could be made with recycled materials. Recycled ZoomX foam and recycled Flyknit yarns were used to create a model that cleared a new benchmark for Nike: its first performance shoe made with at least 50 per cent recycled content by weight.
