National Standardization Technical Committee of Sporting Goods (TC291), a directly controlled technical committee with the approval of Standardization Administration of P. R. China, is responsible for the centralized management of standardization technology of sporting goods industry in China. CSGF takes the role as its Secretariat. It carries out the unified planning, reviewing and work division management of sporting goods standardization. It is mainly in charge of the development and revision of basic, regulatory, product-related and general national standards of sporting goods. It is also responsible for the organization and coordination of standardization of national sporting goods, the management of technical committees affiliated to it, the application and organization of the study of scientific research projects in the field of sporting goods industry as well as provision of technical consulting services.
